Engineering and Design

Our growth is due in part to our dedication to engineering resources. Our customers rely on the diversity of our in-house engineering disciplines. Our software, electronic, electrical, mechanical and process engineers can articulate complex problems and design their solutions.

Our capabilities include:

• Rapid prototyping three-dimensional printing up to 10" x 10" x 10" using ABS blend to enable initial environmental testing
• EMI and RFI testing
• Shock and Vibration testing
• Accelerated weathering and real-time exposure testing
• Large and small package temperature and humidity testing
• Dust chamber and salt corrosion testing

Veethree also offers in-house circuit board design with the ability to go from single side and multilayer board schematics directly to the actual board.

The Veethree engineering group is equipped with the latest versions of industry standard design software and hardware. We understand the need for software compatibility.

Engineering stations include Pro-Engineering, AutoCAD (with AutoCAD View for print access in all cells), Protel Schematic and PCB, Accell Schematic and PCB, Auto Router, ICAP Circuit Simulation System, and Lab View for test development.

Graphic design software includes Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, and Micrographics Designer with in-house color printing capability.

Supply Chain Management

We know that if we can reduce our customersí inventories, we can reduce their total procurement costs. That reflects directly on your bottom line.

Continuous improvements in Veethree Instruments' Supply Chain Management Program move toward point-of-use delivery. Our goal is to deliver products to our customers' factory floors when they are needed in the manufacturing process.

Using industry standard manufacturing software, Veethree Instruments can accept your forecasting data.

Our product lead times are realistic and continue to decline.

Quality Management

The quality organization at Veethree Instruments has been established to assure our customers receive products that meet or exceed their requirements and expectations. The quality assurance manager reports directly to the general manager and is responsible for the entire quality process, including accumulation, analysis and distribution of quality data. Corporate quality teams further support our efforts.

Veethree uses advanced product planning techniques such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Total Quality Management (TQM) and design and process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA). These tools allow Veethree to satisfy customer design requirements by benchmarking competitive products, identifying optimum features and setting goals and priorities critical to project success.

Any gauges, fixtures, or tools used to qualify product are included in our plant-wide gauge calibration program. Gauges are calibrated both internally and externally using masters traceable to NIST and all information is on file and available upon request.

Gauge R&R studies are conducted on all gauges that are used to provide SPC data. Veethree targets early 2010 for ISO certification.

Production

Veethree production capabilities include complete circuit board assembly including surface mount, through hole and organic and non-organic conformal coating, reflow oven for wave soldering, encapsulating, sonic welding, precision soldering, light duty welding, wire harness manufacturing and Teradyne 18xx ATE.

The organization of the Veethree production work force centers on the cellular manufacturing team concept. Our factory-floor is segmented into production cells. Workers are cross-trained in all jobs within their respective cells.

Measure and display systems enhance productivity and accountability. Production workers and managers can instantly visualize work flow, understand the importance of their individual contribution to the entire manufacturing process and focus on the timelines and waste reduction.
